It was lovely to have our whole school together on the playground today for our Rememberance Day assembly led by our year 4 children.
Year 3 have been exploring the inside of Egyptian tombs and pyramids. We have found out through videos and research that the pharaohs would be buried with all of their treasure, ready for the afterlife. The inside of the tomb walls would contain patterns and paintings. Have a look at what we created in class.
The children followed the adult’s instructions to do a lemon volcano experiment, taking it in turns to pass around ingredients and mixing them together to make a new texture.
They enjoyed getting into their wetsuits and wellies to go out in the rain, we couldn’t find any puddles so we used resources to make some. The children had so much fun jumping up and down making splashes.
The following children received a certificate in our celebration assembly today…. congratulations

Today a representative from the Need Project, Central Bedfordshire, came into school to collect the boxes of wonderful harvest gifts our parents donated this year. Our thanks go to Mrs Liderth who kindely organised this collection and to everyone who supported us.
“A huge thank you for your harvest collection that you did for us. Your donation will help supply food parcels and other essentials to families and individuals referred to us via recognised agencies such as social workers, children’s centres, local authorities, charities or other recognised organisations whose purpose includes the prevention or relief of poverty.”

In Robins class this week we have been learning about Harvest. We used strips of paper to create woven baskets. We then used vegetables dipped in paint to print with to fill up our baskets.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our harvest project this year. All the amazing donations will soon be making their way to the Need Project in Central Bedfordshire.
