Pre-school have had a fantastic time in the lead up to Christmas this year; making their own santa tops, making Christmas trees using cucumber & carrot and making gingerbread people
All the children made fantastic hats to wear during lunchtime today. They all then enjoyed watching their Christmas performance – we hope you do too! A huge thank you to everyone for making it possible, in particular Mrs Allen.
Our year 3 and 4 children have had an amazing term learning outdoors during their weekly Forest School lessons.

It is with thanks to the Friends that the children have been enjoying a pantomine this afternoon from the comfort of their own classroom. It has been great to hear all the cheers, some booing and laughter around the school. Ask them all about Cinderella when they get home…

We have today received the following words of thanks from the Poppy Appeal Organiser at the Flitwick and District Branch of The Royal British Legion, which will also be shared with the children in our next celebration assembly.
“2020 RBL Poppy Appeal
I would just like to say thank you very much for the amount of £ 108.20 kindly raised for our appeal by Houghton Conquest Lower School, could you thank all the staff and pupils on behalf of the Poppy Appeal that made this amount possible?
This year the appeal has suffered due to volunteers being restricted on how and where we can collect. Any donation is welcome how ever large or small and by what means it is made.
The money will help those service men and women who have suffered and are still suffering due to injuries sustained in conflict in various parts of the world. Also their dependants who fall on difficult times.
Thank you once again.”
